Chef Amanda Barresi has had a life long passion for food. Growing up in an Italian-American home, food was the catalyst for bringing family and friends together. She grew up in the kitchen learning traditional Sicilian cooking from her mother. Wanting to learn more about cooking technique and cuisine, she enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu Boston and graduated with High Honors in 2013. She worked at Rialto under James Beard Award winning Chef Jodi Adams. Chef Amanda also worked as a Line Cook at Toro Boston. Chef Amanda strives to prepare nutritious and delicious food and caters to people with food allergies, special diets such as vegetarian or paleo as well as Weight Watchers. She is an advocate for sustainability and supporting local farms and businesses which means getting the freshest, best tasting, and most nutrient rich ingredients and boosts our local economy. Her cooking style is broad but she likes to keep things light, wholesome, and FRESH so come get fresh with Sassy Cuisine.
